One of the reasons I stayed in Utah after I got out of the US Air Force was the fact that next to the ocean, I love the mountains. Utah is one of, if not the only state, where you can live right next to one as demonstrated by the pictures above. Simply beautiful. That peak is Ben Lomond peak. Named after some yahoo who did something or other. Probably the first to scale it's 9800 foot peak. I only mention this because tomorrow I get my first ski day in this season. I will be posting pictures of that expedition on Monday Feb 2ND.
This title refers to a family outing to the a drive-in Theater in Riverdale Utah in the summer of 2007. Me and my daughter make our way to the concession stand. At the cash register is a jar of the biggest pickles on the planet. Late summer zuchini big. Of course we had to get one. Back at the car, my daughter begins to to command everyone to "partake of the Family pickle or die!!". Flash forward to two nights ago and my daughter suggests, "hey Dad, you should name your blog the family pickle"
