Holiday's, Christmas, Thanksgiving, vacation

Well, it is official. I am 42 and the years seem to be flying by at this point in my life. Seems like just yesterday we were celebrating New Years eve. Actually, It seems like just yesterday the whole world was freaking out on New Year's eve 1999. When Prince's song came out in 1984 about partying like it was 1999, that seemed like it would take forever to get here. Now it is almost 2009 and i wonder where all the time has gone. Took a minute off from typing to look at a text message my friend in Arizona just sent. A cartoon of a guy screwing a gal on a thanksgiving table telling her, "Here's your stuffing, the gravy will be here shortly. Ahhh, he never disappoints with the disgusting text messages. What was I saying, oh yeh, I wish time would slow a little.

So, what has been going on. Well, Like I was saying, I just turned 42 and my wife gave me a i-POD touch for my birthday. That has to be the best present I have EVER received for a birthday. It is both useful and Cool. For her birthday on October 25Th we went to wendover Nevada. It the closest nice place to gamble in Nevada if you live in Utah as we do, without having to drive all the way to Las Vegas. About 2 hours from our house. It was one of the best weekends Michelle and I have ever spent together. We went the same weekend her parents were there in their RV. A good time was had by all. I can't wait to do it again.

Other than that, here are some pictures of some of my family history. I put things like this in my Blog in the off chance, some other long lost family members whom I have never met will recognize them and try to contact me. The scan below is my Great Great Grandfathers discharge from the civil war. If You have ever seen the movie "Gangs Of New York", there is a scene where the Irish are getting off the boat from Ireland and the Irish Men are being issued Uniforms and being put right back on another boat to fight for the Union in the civil war. That is exactly what happened to Great Great Grandfather McManus:

Here the WW2 label for the Red Diamond division My Paternal Grandfather, Belone "Babe" Fournier belonged to as well as the route through France they took and a copy of his discharge paperwork:

Well that is it for this post. Blog atcha later
